Figures from the Department of Infrastructure show women lag behind men when passing their driving test.
A Freedom of Information request to the DOI asked for the number of men and women who passed and failed tests in the last three years.
The statistics show in 2021, 56 per cent of men passed, compared to 50 per cent of women.
In 2022, 54 per cent of men and 47 per cent of women passed - while last year 51 per cent of men passed compared to just 42 per cent of women.
