An old ticket office in Laxey will be knocked down ahead of new work.
The next phase of improvements is set to start at the Great Laxey Wheel in a bid to help preserve and enhance the attraction.
Manx National Heritage say as part of this phase the former ticket office will be removed, leaving the new visitor welcome hub as its replacement.
It also says the work is needed to make sure the Victorian engineering continues to be enjoyed for generations to come.
