Yellow weather warnings are advising of severe gales, heavy rain and coastal overtopping from this afternoon.
The notice from Ronaldsway Met Office for the whole Island comes into force at 1.30pm right through until 6am on Sunday.
Officials say strong winds of around 60mph can be expected between now and early next Monday, and heavy showers could leave between 30-60mm of rainfall on high ground over the weekend which may cause some localised flooding.
Meanwhile, they add coastal overtopping at times of high tide on Friday and Saturday afternoon is most likely to affect promenades in Douglas, Castletown, Ramsey and Laxey as well as Shore Road.
