Onchan commissioners say they'll ask the government to do something about the governor's unkempt bush.
At its last meeting, chair Anthony Allen told the local authority the Government House hedge on Governors Road is starting to block the footpath.
The meeting heard the board has contacted the Department of Infrastructure about the problem each year instead of the job being done proactively.
The board's district surveyor will contact the DOI to ask for the foliage to be cut back.
