Warning to jetskiers after incident with swimmer

Jetskiers are being warned to steer clear of swimmers after an incident in the south of the Island.

The Department of Infrastructure says it happened in Chapel Bay at Port St Mary when jetskis were reported travelling at high speed close to families with young children.

The DOI says if you spot someone behaving dangerously or recklessly you should report it to the Marine Operations Centre on 686628.

Harbour Master Gary Lewin says all watercraft users should act responsibly, respect safe bathing areas and show consideration for others.
