People who are attending Sir Norman Wisdoms funeral tomorrow are being urged by police to plan ahead.
Thousands of fans of the comedy star, who died at a nursing home in Ballasalla earlier this month, are expected to pay their respects tomorrow morning.
Extra parking will be available at the War Memorial on Douglas Promenade but spaces will be limited.
Inspector Mark Britton from the roads policing unit said huge crowds of people are expected to gather in areas of Douglas so he is reminding people to think in advance about where to park.
He said; 'If people can plan ahead and use other forms of transport available such as the bus services then this should ease congestion and allow the funeral to take place with the dignity and respect that this occasion deserves.'
