Robin Gibb makes return to the stage

Manxman Robin Gibb

Robin Gibb has returned to the stage for the first time in months following his battle with cancer.

The 62-year-old Manxman has made a guest appearance at the London Palladium in a charity concert.

The Knocksharry resident has been treated for colon and liver cancer - but speaking about his illness recently, he said he had amazed doctors with his recovery.

Gibb made up one third of supergroup the Bee Gees. However, following the death of Robin’s twin brother Maurice nine years ago, the band has rarely performed.

In 2009, Robin and lead singer Barry were given the freedom of Douglas in recognition of their achievements.
