Inquest opened into death of PE teacher

A PE teacher who was hit by a bus on Richmond Hill died from massive blunt force trauma.

31-year-old Robert Campbell, who was from Santon, was involved in a collision with the vehicle in the early hours of December 20th. 
 
Today the inquest into his death was opened and adjourned at Douglas Courthouse. 
 
The court heard how he was taken to Noble's Hospital unconscious where he was pronounced dead. 
 
A post-mortem showed he had suffered multiple injuries to his head and body including fractures to his skull, ribs and leg as well as abdominal damage.
 
Coroner of Inquests John Needham passed his condolences onto the family and released his body so a funeral can take place.
