Manx war veteran Hector Duff has passed away at the age of 101.
It’s been confirmed the much loved veteran passed away peacefully earlier today (November 30).
The Onchan branch of the Royal British Legion, of which he was President, has paid tribute calling him ‘a true legend’ who ‘we will miss dearly’.
He was best known for being the Islands only remaining veteran of Normandy, and had a number of prestigious decorations to his name.
