Government Bring End to Free Dinners for MHKs
One of the first things to be axed as part of the government’s money saving drive, is free lunches.
The move comes as the government try to find way of recouping the £90 million lost to their annual budget following the UK revising an existing Tax and VAT arrangement which saw the Island get a cut of the proceeds.
It is the first of what’s thought to be many cut backs made by the Government.
This move is expected to save the Island
a few thousand pounds a year.
