A drunk pregnant woman from Douglas had to be physically carried out of a building by police after turning aggressive, a court’s heard.
Stacey Ann Robina Ashton of Hillside Avenue in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 38 year old, expecting a child in July, admitted using provoking behaviour and assaulting a police officer on January 16.
The court heard police went to a flat on Woodbourne Square to speak to somebody else but when Ashton arrived she was drunk, and became verbally abusive.
She had to be carried down stairs by officers to be put in a police van after she refused to calm down, and at police headquarters kicked a constable while she was in custody.
Ashton was bailed by magistrates while pre-sentencing reports are prepared and will appear again on June 20.
