Online Planning Application Submissions Soon to be Introduced
Department of Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne yesterday told Tynwald how his Department have taken onboard recommendations they received about how to revamp their planning system.
As it stands it’s well known for being a time consuming and at times difficult task.
The recommendations came from a review of the system commissioned by the Department of Local Government and Environment carried out last year.
It's hoped a website will be online by October which will give Island residents the chance to publish their applications with comment boxes for each submission inviting public feedback.
Minister Phil Gawne said also that future applications that would involve or stimulate economic activity would be given priority.
