A teenager who was caught with a single joint during a drugs raid has been given a conditional discharge.
Sean Daniel Fitzpatrick of Brockhill Road in Ramsey admitted possessing cannabis when he appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon said police raided his address and arrested him and two other people just after 4pm on July 1.
Fitzpatrick had a spliff which the court heard contained trace amounts of cannabis which couldn’t be weighed or evaluated, and the 17 year old had two previous convictions for possessing the drug last year.
But after hearing he was now looking for work and had turned a corner in his life, magistrates imposed a conditional discharge for 12 months.
