Closure of libraries to dominate Tynwald questions

The closure of the family and mobile library facilities will dominate a number of questions in Tuesday's sitting of Tynwald.

The Chief Minister will be asked if he'll make a statement on how all of the services currently undertaken by staff of the family and mobile libraries will be continued into the future, once they cease at the end of August.

Minister for Education and Children, Peter Karran will be asked for the finer details concerning the cost of the mobile library and what arrangements have been made for its future ownership.

The Minister will also be asked by MLC Dudley Butt how many times he has visited both of the facilities between his appointment to the role of Minister, and the 17th February.

The sitting will commence at 10.30am on Tuesday of next week.
