Appeal for competitors for charity tram push

The Olympics may be over but the Island’s strongest men and women are still needed for a charity challenge.

Douglas Development Partnership has organised a sponsored tram push on Douglas Promenade on September 22nd.

Teams will be required to propel two horse tram cars, head to head, for 50 metres along Strathallan Crescent.

Town centre manager Gill Anderson says it’s a rare opportunity to get up close to the machinery and raise money for The Children’s Centre at the same time.

The challenge is open to 16 teams and eight single entries.  Entry forms are available from The Douglas Development Partnership office.
