It marks a bittersweet week for the star whose rise has taken another knock due to her current lack of finances.
Isle of Man snowboarding star Zoe Gillings has today finished in 3rd place at the SBX World Cup finals in Switzerland.
It marks a bittersweet week for the star whose rise has taken another knock due to her current lack of finances.
It’s been a constant struggle for Gillings over the past year as she’s battled back from injury whilst also having to cope with having her funding stopped by UK Sport following it’s review at the end of last year.
It's now meant that she's been forced to leave her University of Bath training base.
The Sports Training Village in Bath had helped her with strength, conditioning, physiotherapy, nutritional and medical support.
For her to shoulder the expense herself it would cost £20,000 a year.
