Commissioners in the west of the Island says they'll look into the pollution from coal fires and log burners.
At a board meeting in November, members of Patrick commissioners heard worries had been raised over fumes from fires.
Paul Craker said the problems had been reported in Glen Maye.
The local authority agreed to approach the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture so see if it could measure the problem.
