Department of Infrastructure Announce Peel Promenade Railing Refurbishment
The Department of Infrastructure have announced that they will be starting work to replace the Railings on Peel Promenade.
They are annually maintained but after years of heavy wave damage they have now reached the stage where maintenance is no longer cost effective.
The work will begin toward the end of this month, with the railings opposite the old swimming pool at the far end of the prom the first ones to be replaced.
All in all there will be 1900m of new rail to be installed.
There will be minor disruptions to pedestrians as a result of the work, it’s expected to be completed by November.
