The Island's Treasury Minister says a margin for error in an estimated £3 million plan to extend the horse trams isn't unusual.
This week in Tynwald Chris Thomas faced questions about the Department of Infrastructure's business case to extend tram tracks the length of Douglas Promenade.
Mr Thomas said each department asking for money for projects built in its own contingency.
And he said although the DOI's figure might seem high compared to other projects, it's in line with figures from elsewhere:
