Work on Victoria Road in Castletown to be finished by October 3rd

This flexible working system meant the scheme completion time was reduced from 14 to 7 weeks.

The first 6 phases of work on the Victoria Road in Castletown have progressed well with work expected to be completed by 3rd October.

The Department of Infrastructure have said they’ve utilised a double shift system in an effort to minimise the scheme duration and disruption to motorists and residents.

This flexible system meant the scheme was reduced from 14 to 7 weeks.

Traffic signals will continue to be used to control traffic, pedestrian access and access to properties will be maintained for the duration of the works.

The Department have apologised for the continued disruption to motorists, pedestrians and residents.
