Tynwald to hear Tromode site application

Approval will be sought in next week’s sitting of Tynwald for the creation of a new ‘brown field’ site at the former abattoir in Tromode.

The former abattoir site was decommissioned earlier this year with all operations transferred to the ner Animal Waste Processing Plant.

If given the go ahead it would open up the land for new developments.

The DOI will be proposing that the site and remaining buildings are demolished and enabling works are carried out to create the base for improved road access onto the Ballafletcher Farm Road.

If approved the works will commence in November with a planned completion date of February 2013.The cost of the proposed works is £178,000 which when completed is estimated to bring an increase in value of over £300,000.
