Tynwald's formally received the government's new Child First Policy.
As part of it, ministers and public servants are being trained in children's rights and how to include them in decision making and policy.
The government's pointed to examples of the strategy at work including the Smile of Mann toothbrushing programme and the halving of the waiting list for the youth mental health service.
