£4.8 Million Set Aside for Capital Projects
Members of Tynwald will be asked to approve a major £4.8 million capital spending project in the return sitting this month.
The money has been earmarked to maintain the vitality of the local construction industry and progress a range of projects.
Of the biggest expenditures £1.6 million will go on a GP surgery in Jurby, with £1.5 going on upgrades to the Snaefell Mountain Railway track.
As it stands the Government are the construction industry’s biggest customer and account for about 70 percent of the sectors spending.
