Southern 100 organisers say they've come up with a contingency plan to keep sidecars in the July event.
It's after the Southern 100 Club announced this week the modern sidecar class won't be included next month, following the decision by TT officials to suspend them for this year's festival.
Now, the club says it's working to introduce a classic sidecar class to this year's programme for the Billown Course.
They explain this is because traditional sidecars aren't built with the same floors or aerodynamic features as modern machines - a factor which led to their suspension.
