Tim O'Hanlon, who was 73, served the parish for nearly 30 years and is described as a 'dear friend' and 'proud Manxman' who will be 'missed by many for years to come'.
Mr O'Hanlon was also heavily involved with Marown football as well as the TT races.
In a statement, Marown Parish Commissioners says their deepest condolences go out to his wife, Liz, as well as his entire family and friends.
