One of the Island's biggest manufacturers says it's closing its Ramsey factory and shifting production to China.
Strix, which makes components for kettles, has been on the Island for 75 years.
In a statement, the company says it's committed to maintaining its head office here but will be forced to make redundancies as the operational side of the business moves to the far East.
The company, which is headquartered in Ballasalla, adds it can't predict how many jobs will be lost but it's holding a full consultation process.
