Sixth Queenie Festival starts today

Two days of celebration get underway today with the start of the sixth Queenie Festival.

The annual 'celebration of the sea' takes place around The Quay and Alfred Pier in Port St Mary.

It's taking place at a difficult time for the Manx Queenie Fishery which is under pressure from overfishing.

As well as a food court, cooking demonstrations and children's activities the Manx Wildlife Trust will also be on hand with the popular touch tanks.
