The Island's capital could be getting a quieter fireworks display next year.
Douglas Council's Regeneration and Community Committee considered a report about low-noise fireworks displays.
Members said the display could be arranged at no extra cost, but in the past other local authorities had switched back after the public objected.
The local authority says it'll poll residents about the proposal after this year's display on Wednesday, November 5 - with a view to having a quiet display next year if people choose it.
