Should politicians face police background checks?

The Chief Minister will be quizzed today about whether political members should be police checked.

Douglas East MHK Clare Bettison will ask Howard Quayle in the House of Keys what consideration he's given to introducing DBS checks.

The Disclosure and Barring Service replaces the CRB check and is carried out to check someone's criminal record if they apply for certain jobs or voluntary work.

The sitting will start at 10am.
