Bill Shimmins is the second candidate to announce he'll be standing for Middle in this year's General Election.
He's declared his intention to stand for the House of Keys saying it's as a result of his 'passion for the social and economic welfare of the Island'.
He will leave his job as managing director at the Isle of Man Bank later this year after working in the banking sector for 34 years.
The Glen Vine resident says he hopes to use his business experience to 'overcome complex issues' and use his skills for the 'benefit of all'.
