The Santa's Little Helpers appeal is back once again, with the aim to brighten up the festive period for the less fortunate young people in our community.
It was officially launched last night in The Strand Shopping Centre prior to the big Christmas Light switch on.
As part of the initiative you're encouraged to donate Christmas gifts suitable for those aged upto 18 years old.
3FM have teamed up with Investment Specialist Ravenscroft for the scheme, with the Strand shopping centre, Jac Stores and 3FM on hand to accept the donations, with The Children's Centre tasked with distributing them.
The Children's Centre said 'gift giving is such an integral part of how we celebrate Christmas - but as we know the cost of living is increasing, everything is getting more expensive and we are all feeling the pinch. And sadly this does mean there are some families unable to provide gifts for their loved ones - and by working with all the charities on island we as a sector can help make sure those in the most need get a little something to make them smile.'
