Royal Show organisers and police devise plan to cope with busy Saturday

It’s untested grounds for the organisers as the show is held at the Knockaloe site for the first time after decades in Sulby.

Today is traditionally the busiest day of the Royal Manx Agricultural Show with police saying they’ve had a contingency plan in place with the organisers for months to ensure the day runs smoothly.

It’s untested grounds for the organisers as the show is held at the Knockaloe site for the first time after decades in Sulby.

Yesterday went well but it’s expected there will be a significantly larger number of spectators today.

The show will be the usual blend of livestock and family themed activities, with live music throughout the day.

Sgt Stu Gardner from Peel Police told 3FM about the hard work and pre planning that’s gone into the show.
