Reports that there has been an increase in the amount of violence towards women aren't all bad news.
That's the message from Victim Support - which says the increase is down to more women bravely coming forward and reporting incidents.
Although cases in England and Wales have seen a six percent decrease on last year's statistics - there has been a 12 per cent upsurge on the three year average.
