An ambitious regeneration project for Ramsey is in doubt after funding was pulled.
The Church on the Rock was looking to develop the former Albert Road site and create a multi-purpose community building with a 400 seater auditorium.
The church has been in negotiations with the government to purchase part of the site but the source of funding has fallen through and it’s now looking for new financial backers.
£3.8 million is needed for the building which would have been used to host concerts and functions and for youth and children’s work as well as housing a cafe and office space.
