An online petition is calling on Tynwald to respect spiritual protections from the Church of England by rejecting the UK's digital ID plans.
Barbara Keenan has set up a change.org petition after the UK announced it was considering introducing the system.
In her petition, she calls on Tynwald to reject the plans and preserve sacred grounds and ancient traditions including the Island's pagan and Christian heritage.
