The public are being urged to report illegal poachers fishing in Manx rivers.
As of this week river fisheries are closed for the winter to allow the salmon and sea trout to spawn.
Anyone with a valid licence will know where and when they are allowed to fish:
Police and fisheries officers do regular night patrols during high-risk periods but DEFA says rivers are hard to police so ask for the public's help.
