Police say they're working with the diocese in relation to an allegation of indecent assault on a child.
Yesterday 80-year-old Graham Gregory appeared at Douglas Courthouse - he's accused of carrying out the assault on an eight-year-old girl in 1990.
The York man allegedly committed the offence whilst he was the vicar at St Ninian's Church in Douglas.
Officers from the Public Protection Unit say they 'are and have been working closely' in relation to the allegation and subsequent investigation.
