Not paying your taxi fare could lead to arrest and a fine of up to £5,000.
That's the warning from police who are reminding people it's a criminal offence to make off without payment.
It comes following a message on social media from officers of the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team.
They've added to 'pay your way' and 'stay safe' over the festive period.
