A potential new cold call scam is doing the rounds asking people to make donations over the phone.
Local businesses have been contacted by a caller claiming to be phoning on behalf of the Isle of Man Constabulary's Crime Prevention Unit.
The businesses are being asked to donate towards ‘crime prevention issues’.
Police are making it clear that the individual has no links to the force.
