Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson says police are reviewing how an incident in Maughold was dealt with this week.
It's after residents voiced criticisms about the information they were given at a meeting in Dhoon last night.
The Department of Home Affairs says it understands public concern about communication during the incident.
In a statement, the minister says after the review, she'll decide what steps, if any, will be taken.
