Police promise not to abandon town centre after move

Lord Street Police Station has closed its doors - but officers are reassuring the public they won't be abandoning the town centre.

Yesterday saw the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team transfer to Police Headquarters: 

The Department of Home Affairs has stressed it will be "business as usual" - whilst reducing costs and allowing the building to be sold for redevelopment.
