People are being urged to take 'basic security measures' in a bid to reduce their chances of becoming a victim of crime.
Police are asking motorists to remove their keys from their vehicles and lock them when they are left.
It's the second appeal of this nature they've made within a week and follows a number of thefts which officers say were preventable.
