The Isle of Man Constabulary will go up against a number of well-known brands for a prestigious UK award that celebrates achievements in human resources.
It’s been shortlisted for a People Management Award in recognition of the strong focus on staff development.
The police force faces stiff competition from the LOCOG organising committee, HMV and Harrods.
It’s somewhat of a turnaround from six years ago when a survey revealed that the quality of working life in the police was poor.
Chief executive of the Department of Home Affairs Mark Kelly says it builds on a previous award for the constabulary in this area:

The winner of the award will be announced on October 17th.
