Police confirm identity of local man killed in building site accident

It has been confirmed that the man who died in a building site accident yesterday was 55 year old Gareth Sowden.

The Douglas man had been at work at the construction site on the Balleira Road in Kirk Michael.

He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

An investigation is now being led by the Health and Safety at Work Inspectorate.

More details are expected in due course.
