Permission sought to change place of worship into barbers

Planning permission is being sought to transform a place of worship in Douglas into a barber shop.

Drewry's, which currently operates in Onchan, wants to take over The Gospel Hall on Switzerland Road.

The business has applied to change the use of the building - which has been in operation for over 20 years - to create a "bespoke male grooming parlour".

In the application the applicant says he would like to provide the Island with a "new and exciting concept".

The planning application was submitted on April 2nd and is currently pending consideration.
