Peel commissioners are asking permission from the government to buy a row of houses and a field for £1.75 million.
The local authority has asked the Department Infrastructure for permission to buy 11 homes on Cowley Terrace, off Ramsey Road.
Also included in the deal is a three-quarter acre field which is zoned for residential development under the west's area plan.
The DOI says it'll consider the petition after Monday, June 16.
