Park Road School shutting its doors after 118 years

Today marks the last day of the St Ninian’s Park Road school before the pupils make the switch to the new Bemahague building in September.

The building is closing early to begin the move to Bemahague, representing the end of an era thats spanned 118 years.

From September years 7,8 and 9 will all be housed in the state of the art £33.8 million school, meaning the whole of Key Stage 3 will be under one roof.

It’s anticipated the works division facilitating the move will have to transport over 900 boxes of items between schools.

The public will be invited to tour the new school to coincide with its formal opening.
