Obesity problem continuing to place burden on health budget

Small lifestyle changes could help reduce the amount of money being spent on obesity on the Isle of Man.

National Obesity Awareness Week is drawing to a close but people who are overweight are still being encouraged to take action. 
 
Public health strategist Dawn Henley says it's a problem which is causing a strain on the health service: 
 
 
Statistics from 2013 show that 20 per cent of five year olds are either overweight or obese - a survey from 2009 showed half of Island adults fall into the same category.
