Health and Social Care Minister Claire Christian says a strike by the Island's nurse's isn't inevitable, despite 70 per cent of union members voting in favour.
In Tynwald this week, she faced an urgent question from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper about the Royal College of Nursing strike ballot.
Nurses have voted to walk out after rejecting a four per cent pay offer from Manx Care.
