Newspapers could move printing operation to Sheffield

The decision to move the Isle of Man Newspapers printing operation off Island could result in job losses.

Off the back of a review it's looking like the Island's three papers will now be printed at one of the biggest printing plants in Europe, in Dinnington , Sheffield.

On top of the possible loss of 7 jobs it would also affect the times in which The Examiner and the Independent would be sold.

It would mean the papers would arrive on Island with the rest of the UK press on the morning boats.

If all gets the go ahead this will start from March of next year.
